As our core commercial partner, AstraZeneca has specific rights to intellectual property developed from our research. AZ see the CRC for Chronic Inflammatory Diseases as a good strategic fit with their business needs. This is because the CRC for CID:

- Focuses on new targets in diseases of highest strategic importance to AZ eg: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Zimmer Inc Zimmer is the world leader in orthopaedics and works with our CRC on Research Program 4 into joint prostheses. Zimmer has rights to specified intellectual property developed from this research. Zimmer has almost 6,500 staff around the world and their hip and knee joint replacement systems and related products and services are used by health care providers in more than 60 countries.
